We’ve been hearing about the ‘smart home revolution’ for a number of years now, but has it lived up to the hype? Sure, home-owners can now adjust their heating, switch on their lights or operate their vacuum cleaner with just a few taps of their phone’s touchscreen. But while all of those things are undoubtedly novel, does anything exist in the smart sphere that makes a significant contribution to people’s lives?
